10 People to Follow on Vine Now

Before the 15 second video clips on instagram, there was Vine – the app that gives otherwise unknown geniuses a chance to shine … for a mere 7 seconds at a time. Patience is a virtue that is rare, especially these days.

Selfie-obsessed Insta-followers may not quite understand what the Vine world is all about since it’s like soooo #2012. But let us give you the rundown anyhow.

Essentially, like instagram, it’s a way to share short bursts of your life, but in motion. The looping, 7 second videos are not only a place for creative artists to demonstrate their video skills but for comedians to build a portfolio.

You’d be surprised at how much you can do in 7 seconds.

Here’s our Top Ten (in no particular order)…

  • A college kid with college humour. Robby Ayala just might be the king of 7 second comedy.
  • Jerome Jarre is our french speaking fave, can communicate with squirrels and is Ellen Degeneres approved. Enough said.
  • Jessi Smiles proves that girls can be funny too and isn't afraid to poke fun at herself.
  • Bo uses songs and videos of celebrities to create hilarious dialogue, which has become a Vine staple by many other users.
  • Sunny Mabrey is certainly not afraid to get weird for the camera. In constant costumes and accents she's a whole barrel of laughs.
  • Marcus Johns certainly does not care. He would publicly do anything in the name of vine, even if it's probably not socially acceptable.
  • Cody Johns is another master of 7 second comedy and is always on the search for the next hilarious situations. Cody and Robby collaborate a lot.
  • You can assume that Ian has the patience of a god. His looping videos are works of art that could not be copied.
  • Max has a Youtube channel if the 7 seconds of laughter isn't enough. He also has a great eye and puts a lot of work into his videos.
  • Jordan Burt's other half and character "Gary" might be his best act to date. Gary gets himself in quite the scenarios that guarantee a laugh out loud.
